Behind the Scenes – Senior and Intermediate Musical Theatre
We know that you love the stage! Whether it’s your first year or your fifth the highlight for everyone is the big splashy show at the end of the season and the thunderous applause you receive for your hard work.
But! There is also another side to theatre that you will love exploring.
As part of your program this year we are offering you a chance to meet with your classmates and explore other areas of theatre from costume design, script writing, scene study character development, theatre tech and more!
You are invited to attend this weekly class and enjoy a monthly theme that will enhance their understanding of theatre and all the parts that make it such an exciting and fulfilling art form.
The fabulous Sarah, a long time and much loved Stage educator, will lead you through monthly themes that will encourage active engagement in the subject.
Come rehearsal time, Sarah will work with each director to plan the best use of the time whether that’s working on scenes or numbers, or further developing characters for the purposes of the show, or, if desired, a continuation of additional themes.
We are so excited to include this offer as part of your program! While the classes are not mandatory, we know that our students will appreciate the engaging themes and enjoy another chance to connect with their cast mates.
