Here is the schedule for our Free Trial Classes for the Fall. Space is limited so register quickly (This class is for new families only).

Thursday September 5th

Toddler Time Dance

Toddlers and their grown ups will enjoy 45 minutes of moving to music in a fun and engaging studio style class designed to introduce dance steps, coordination, fine motor and muscle development and encourage a life long appreciation of dance and music. Classes will include games, circle dances, free dances and more traditional exercises that toddlers will love to share with their grown ups. Get up and get the wiggles out in a creative way while bonding with your little dancer.

Creative Dance I

Are you looking for a place where your child can get their boogie on, but you’re not quite sure if they’re ready or interested in a more traditional dance style?

Creative Dance offers students a chance to express all their inner workings through movement and music. Classes develop self confidence, physical literacy, balance and coordination while building characters and exploring musical stories. If you’re looking for a great day time program for your living room performer, you’ve come to the right place.

Saturday September 7th

Baby Music Discoverers

Play musically with your baby through bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, dancing, moving and singing.

Musical play activities are designed to increase your child’s curiosity about music, to develop listening skills and a sense of beat, and to establish the foundation for singing and musical thought. Also included in this class are infant massage techniques and baby sign language to encourage baby/caregiver bonding and communication. There is no better time to introduce your child to music than in the brief but important infancy stage.

Toddler Music Explorers

Participate with your toddler in singing, chanting, moving, dancing listening and playing simple instruments — while developing a strong musical bond with your child.

Through activities that bridge the natural connection between music and movement, your child’s musical aptitude and listening abilities are enhanced and further developed.

Preschool Music Adventurers

Celebrate your child’s love of nature and growing independence through activities which focus on the seasons of the year.

Classes are designed to build attention and self expression and include singing, poetry, moving, focused listening, musical games, musical instruments, and creative storytelling. This program begins to develop strength throughout the body, encouraging whole body awareness, which is a perfect segue into dance classes. Using our dramatic games we also incorporate emotional awareness and development. These classes remain a favourite in our satellite schools as they progress as stories from start to finish. These classes are perfect for children who are just beginning to establish social groups. Parents do not attend these classes but will often be invited in to see what we’ve been working on.

Film & TV

This Film/TV class is a fun introduction to the world of acting for film and TV, learning the basics, getting to know acting styles and working with industry standard scripts.

A great class for kids just beginning, and for kids who have a passion for acting and want to explore more! We explore text, engage in individual, partner, and group exercises, and even have the opportunity to put our work on film in the studio.

Creative Dance II

In this class students will work on building self confidence, body awareness, motor skills development, and self expression, all while developing fundamental technique to dance for possible future study.

As a class we explore characterization through games and exercises, possible themes for our end of term performance, and creating a dance with a storyline. Including a full body warm up and building technique through travelling movements across the floor, this class is a great way to combine storytelling and dancing while working in a collaborative environment!

Musical Theatre Dance I

Musical Theatre Dance is fun, upbeat, and a great way to for us to learn how to dance with a focus on music from familiar stage and movie musicals!

In this class we will learn technique and rhythm in the style of jazz dance with a musical theatre influence, as well as build characterization skills with fun games and activities that are theatre and drama based. Please note: This is not a formal singing class. The main focus of this class will be on choreography and movement to musical theatre compositions.
